Similar to most alloy grades the Brass Ball Valves can be alloyed with several elements to enhance its value. For instance, generally, the Heavy Duty Brass Ball Valves are alloyed with elements such as iron, manganese and aluminium. Adding tin to the alloy of Brass Right Angle Ball Valves makes the alloy resistant to seawater or brine. Hence, they can be used for marine applications. On the other hand, the addition of aluminium to the alloy of Brass Forged Ball Valves improves not only the corrosion resistance properties but its tensile strength as well. When alloyed with aluminium, the Brass Plumbing Ball Valves forms a self-healing, transparent, hard and thin layer on its surface, thus aiding the alloy with its corrosion resistance. Brass Mini Ball Valves also have a good electrical and thermal conductivities. Since brass is considered to be a naturally hygienic alloy, Brass Flanged Ball Valves could be used in those applications which consider hygiene as an important factor or where the metal is frequently touched or in hygiene sensitive conditions. The Brass Union Ball Valves are also very durable and have a long service life.
